SINGING WITH THE JOY CREW IS A RARE AND MAGICAL EXPERIENCE.
Angela is a master at creating an atmosphere of playfulness, while at the same time guiding us (mostly amateurs) into complex harmonies and rounds that sound really good, and enchant not only us, the singers, but anyone listening. I love coming together with other openhearted souls to play in this way. It is guaranteed to lift my spirit.
Wisdom is knowing

These words by yogi N. Maharaj have been circling in me as I navigate huge changes in my life, and singing them has been a true balm.
With the seasons changing and the beauty of fall surrounding me, I have been feeling this so deeply as I come up on one month since I left Santa Fe...feeling that my life is epic but so very humbled by how small I really am in the scheme of things.
I wrote this round based on those words, wanting to create music that reflects the feelings, the moving between these opposing yet complimentary states of nothing and everything, major and minor, three and two.
